First Due Fire
At 12:39 this morning, Oreland Volunteer Fire Company, Wyndmoor Hose and Flourtown firefighters responded to a call for a structure fire in the Oreland section of the township. On arrival, firefighters found a deck burning to the rear of a home. The fire was extinguished quickly with no injuries, and fortunately the house was not involved due to quick notification and response efforts.
Montgomery Ave Fire
At 10:01AM the OVFC was called for a first due fire on the 200 block of Montgomery Ave with assistance from Flourtown Fire Company and the Wyndmoor Hose Company. Upon arrival Chief 700 had smoke showing and called for the upgrade of working fire. Crews forced the front door, a primary search was done and the fire was extinguished. No one was injured. Thanks to all the company’s involved!
Horsham Fire Standby
Just before 4AM Engine 702 was called to stand-by at the Horsham Fire Company while they operated a multi-alarm fire. Our crew was released around 6AM, just in time to go to work!
